I used the red link to build a deck in quest mode and then saved it using the "save as" option, putting the file in a documents folder. Then I quit the program. Later I went to the quest area and again got the red link to build a deck. The quest deck list is empty (not sure where to move my created deck to). So I tried to build a new deck from the quest deck page and it looked like the game became unresponsive. I couldn't click on anything. So when I went to close Forge, I got a box that asked if I wanted to save the deck. The deck editor tool does the same thing.

I moved my deck to the decks/constructed folder but Forge does not show it in any of the deck lists, not even custom.

I'd like to continue playing a quest but can't seem to get around this problem. Anything I can do to repair it?

When you start a new quest you are given the chance to give a quest data file a specific name. Quest data files contain your current card pool for the specific quest and all of the quest decks that you create using the cards that are found in the card pool for a specific quest data file.

Note that you can have more than one ongoing quest at the same time and change back and forth between them.

Your quest data files should be located inside of the /res/quest/data/ folder. Quest data files have an extension of ".dat".

Constructed mode decks and deck files are a different scenario. Constructed mode decks have an extension of ".dck".

Emfatic wrote:Help! My deck editor no longer works. I've already posted the details as to how that happened (see a few postings above), but I still need help getting it working again. I don't know about re-installing considering it doesn't really install. What steps should I take? I'm really new to this program and love it so much I'm willing to put in the time and effort to get it working again.
Also, where are the quest decks that I've created stored by default?

The following may or may not be helpful:

CHANGES.txt wrote:On several occasions people have noticed that the forge deck editor and/or quest mode card shop would not open or display. Try deleting the file named "editor_preferred.xml" which is found in the "res/layouts" folder. This should force forge to then use the "editor_default.xml" file instead.

Thank you thank you thank you. =D>

My deck editor now works again. :D

I can't find the deck I created although the quest I initiated is still there, but that doesn't matter. I can now at least create a new one.

I would recommend not using the save as function for quest decks. (That option probably shouldn't even be available)

I have Dragon Wings in my graveyard and cast Fangren Pathcutter. The Wings don't trigger. AI controls Kismet if that matters.

Fixed! Thanks cc-drake. [Note: All dragon auras where checking Power instead of CMC].

Looks like the quest mode deck editor's Save As command is exporting the deck as a constructed mode deck file.

Looks like the quest mode deck editor is using the same icons/names/objects as the constructed mode deck editor. It can be confusing.

In quest mode I would expect that Save As would allow me to save an existing quest deck under a new name. Might be useful if I wanted to try a couple of different versions of the same deck theme.

I might find a use for Exporting a quest mode deck as a constructed mode deck file.

- Skittish Valesk says
At the beginning of your upkeep, flip a coin. If you lose the flip, return Skittish Valesk to its owner's hand.
- When Lurking Predators hits a creature, I'm asked to put the second card from top on the bottom of my library.

After I countered AI's Wild Pair with Condescend, AI casts Hill Giant and the Wild Pair triggered out of AI's graveyard.

It seems like Ghost-Lit Warder isn't working correctly. My opponents are only paying {1} for the spell to go through.

I've just tested this and the AI payed 4.

It was for the regular ability where they needed to pay 2.

I don't know if this would affect it or not, but I had Training Grounds out as well.
-----------------------------------------

Correct me if I am wrong about this, but I had Prison Term enchanting Myojin of Night's Reach. Myojin of Night's Reach still removed it's divinity counter and made me discard my hand. Is that not an activated ability? (Actually, it seems like the problem was that whenever a creature is enchanted by prison term, it continues to say that it is in the text box, even after you've moved it.

I have Lightning Helix imprinted on Isochron Scepter. I target the computer with the copied Lightning Helix and oddly it took 3 damage and then gained 3 life. I guess it doesn't know who the Lightning Helix belongs to in this case.

Ok it depends whose turn it is If I do it in my turn it works correctly but in the computer's turn it doesn't.
