11113 cards in total.

NOTE:

We found a serious bug in version 1.2.12 a few hours after it was released. This bug was quickly fixed and people should update to this version and not use version 1.2.12. We apologize for the inconvenience.

If you update your OS to Apple OSX 10.8 Mountain Lion and try to launch a new version of forge that you will likely get a dialog which states "File is damaged and cannot be opened. Please move to trash."

Mountain Lion comes with a new Gatekeeper feature and this is probably blocking your ability to launch this newer version of forge. Visit the link below and follow the instructions. They are fairly long and detailed.

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5290?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US

Please note that the issue is most likely caused by Mountain Lion's Gatekeeper feature and it is extremely unlikely that the forge dev team will attempt to get a unique Developer ID from Apple and use it to digitally sign our forge app.

On several occasions people have noticed that the forge deck editor and/or quest mode card shop would not open or display. Try deleting the file named "editor_preferred.xml" which is found in the "res/layouts" folder. This should force forge to then use the "editor_default.xml" file instead.

A new Alpha Strike button was added to the dock.

Several people have noticed that the cards displayed on the battlefield will fail to be displayed when the number of cards on the battlefield increases. Maximizing the human panel can help to re-display the cards.

If you win a quest mode match, you get a booster pack for every 1 or 2 (default) Wins, depending on difficulty. If you lose and you are playing on easy mode, you get a booster pack every 1 (default) Loss.

In the past some people noticed that special quests do not have the start in play cards appearing. And some people have noticed that a match can start without any cards appearing in the players hands or in their libraries. This problem should now be fixed.

Some time was spent turning the static ETB triggers into the proper ETB replacement effects they should be, mainly to interact correctly with eachother. This work is not yet finished. As a result there is currently some inconsistencies with "Enters the battlefield with counters" (Not incredibly noticeable).

--

It seems like the front face of double faced cards aren't triggering properly, but the back face and single faced cards are.

A recent contribution to the code base should fix some of the bugs that people noticed with cloning type abilities. At this time there are two remaining issues that we hope will be addressed in the near future.

1. Leave play triggers don't work correct for clones.
2. Copies of cards that setup Zone Change triggers via addComesIntoPlayCommand and addLeavesPlayCommand will not function correctly.

The work on the new UI is now finished. We should not expect major changes or major additions to the UI. Future betas may include a few minor bug fixes to the UI. And we may also include a few minor tweaks.

We are now using a different system for our snapshot and beta releases. Unfortunately, this new system builds a jar file which does not accurately display the SVN revision number.

Forge may not be fully java 7 compatible at this time. We recommend that people downgrade to java 6.

--

The Forge archive includes a readme.txt file and we ask that you spend a few minutes reading this file as it contains some information that may prove useful. We do tend to update this file at times and you should quickly read this file and look for new information for each and every new release. Thank you.

The archive format used for the Forge distribution is ".tar.bz2". There are utilities for Windows, Mac OS and the various *nix's that can be used to extract/decompress these ".tar.bz2" archives. We recommend that you extract/decompress the Forge archive into a new and unused folder.

Some people use the Windows application 7zip. This utility can be found at http://www.7-zip.org/download.html. Mac users can double click on the archive and the application Archive Utility will launch and extract the archive. Mac users do not need to download a separate utility.

Thanks Chris! On a side note, Crackleburr also made it in before this new beta (although I missed one small thing that might cause the AI to use the second ability with one too few untapped creatures. I missed fitting the fix before the release though, but count it as the first fix towards the next beta)

The new window for selecting the order of simultaneous spells can be closed without pressing OK or Auto. When closed this way, no spells or effects are placed on the stack and nothing triggers.

2 examples; i have 2 Coalition Relic in play. At the beginning of my main phase i get asked to trigger the effect of removing the counters for mana. If i just close the window the counters are not removed from Coalition Relic and i can add another counter.

I have 2 Font of Mythos in play. When asked which one should trigger first i can just close the window if i don't want any extra cards this turn. And when it is the computers turn i also get to decide which one triggers first.

EDIT:
Computer just played Primal Clay. It was placed into the graveyard right away. When looking at the log Primal Clay came into play as a 0/0 creature.

Nice changes.

Enduring Ideal and Dovescape deck does not work in version 1.2.13.

In version 1.2.11 the deck works fine (but the token pic is not showed, it is just black).

In 1.2.13 the token pic is showed, but the Epic ability does not work, it only trigger once and is not countered by Dovescape. After this, the game continues as if Enduring Ideal were not played.

Sorry for my poor English and I hope you can understand me.

It declares an alpha strike :P (i.e. attack with all your able creatures ;))

Fixed Enduring Ideal (and the other epic spells) only triggering once. Dovescape not countering them is correct, since they are not cast. Thanks correioalternativo.

I'm surprised. I play this deck only in Forge (1.2.11) and in this version Enduring Ideal is countered by Dovescape, that puts seven WU 1/1 flying per turn, the most frequent win condition.

Possible bug: Computer hits my Wolf Pet with a Journey to Nowhere. I Serene Offering the Journey. Shouldn't I get the Wolf Pet back? I don't.

As far as I know, if tokens are moved to another zone (graveyard, hand, exile), they just vanish.

EDIT: Apparently, some hundred Triggers on the stack seems to overload forge :D
I had about ~90 Sliver on the field, each attacking. Additionally, I had about 3-4 Frenzy Sliver . . .

Ouch... sounds like one of my decks.

When clicking on a blank part of my user interface, a gray highlighted text of 'Ante' appears.

I have uploaded an attachment to show what I mean.

-The location is always the same, as far as I can tell-

Edit: Once it shows up, I can click on it and it disappears.

Also, to make it appear, the general location of where you're clicking is close to where it shows up.

Most of the time it happens during a Duel while I am clicking between Prompt, Ante, and Dock, but it can also occur on the main screen -pic related-.

Nope, once tokens leave play they are gone for good. This is fine.

I fixed the issue with closing the new DualList Dialog. And I believe Sloth might have gotten the 0/0 one too (if I'm reading his checkins correctly)

Not every version of Forge plays the rules 100% correctly. In this circumstance, the rules engine was wrong. Copying a spell onto the stack is not the same as casting a spell.
