I kept it Faerie based because of Door of Destinies (which is used correctly by the AI). The combination of Door of Destinies and Bitterblossom and Oona's Blackguard is quite powerful, IMO.
I dunno.

Code: Select all
4 Drowned Catacomb
3 Higure, the Still Wind
2 Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni
4 Invisible Stalker
9 Island
4 Mistblade Shinobi
4 Ninja of the Deep Hours
2 Okiba-Gang Shinobi
2 Sakashima's Student
2 Silent-Blade Oni
6 Swamp
4 Throat Slitter
4 Tormented Soul
4 Underground Sea
1 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
1 Walker of Secret Ways
4 Whispersilk Cloak
A Ninja deck, based on having minor unblockable creatures which are returned to the hand by the ninjutsu effects.
As long as the AI doesn't use them well, I would guess its an easy-medium opponent. If he learns to use it well, it could be a medium-hard opponent.
I didn't features Moxen/ancestral recall/... on purpose. They are quite too often anyway :D

I wrote up some AI for Ninjutsu. Testing it, the deck proofed to be quite challenging already, so I think it could become a hard opponent with some little upgrades:
I found Sakashima's Student, Walker of Secret Ways and Whispersilk Cloak underwhelming. Okiba-Gang Shinobi on the other hand was quite devastating. Inkfathom Infiltrator could also be tested.

At least the deck is exciting to play against. You never know what will hit you. Thumbs up! :D

I've included the Walker only because if the ability to return any ninja to its owners hand. If the AI can't handle it...
The problem with Okiba-Gang Shinobi was, that it costs at least 4 mana. Some decks don't even have cards left at this time. Then again, not all will play rusher decks (hopefully anyway).
I think 8 unblockable creatures for ninjutsu are enough... Or don't you think so?
Tormented Soul is a must. It has to be included because it is the only 1 Drop in this deck and perfectly fine for playing cards like Ninja of the Deep Hours as fast as possible.
The Invisible Stalker are needed too, even though they are 2 Drops, they have hexproof. This alone ensures that the AI will have at least one creature to attack, even though the opponent is a creature destroyer deck.
Whispersilk Cloak has many advantages. 1: all the ninjas have an effect when they damage an enemy -> unblockable is a very good ability. 2: it has shroud. The ninjas can't be easily destroyed, but still targeted for ninjutsu. Since there aren't any spells in this deck which target the own creatures otherwise, it is veeery useful! 3: it is an equipment. That is very well needed, because of the ninjutsu. An enchantment, for example, wouldn't be useful in any way.
Then again, maybe 3 Whispersilk Cloak are enough for the deck.

I'm happy that you like it :D With the fix, the deck could really become quite strong :)

I added all the amplify cards to Forge earlier today, so if they're worth making a deck around feel free to start. Otherwise they should make for some nice replacement cards in a few decks.

Thanks for the Amplify keyword and the cards. I will check the Zombie, Dragon and Soldier decks for some room to squeeze some of them in. Maybe it's time for a beast deck now (Feral Throwback ftw)?

Oh, I noticed that Reveal isn't using DualListBox. It totally should be. I don't have my codebase here, but if someone wants to make the change it would be basically like this:

in AbilityFactoryReveal.getRevealedList() we have

line: 2417
Code: Select all
final List<Card> selection = GuiUtils.chooseNoneOrMany("Choose which cards to reveal (Multiselect)", valid.toArray());
That should use:
Code: Select all
List<Object> selection = GuiUtils.getOrderChoices("Choose Which Cards to Reveal", "Revealed", -1, (Object[]) valid.toArray(), null);

Thanks Sol! I'd wanted to use the DualListBox but I wasn't sure that it was suitable for up-to amounts (and I'm just not clued up on its syntax yet). Anyway, I'll have a look now and try convert it.

It was a keyword in the Legions set (Aven Warhawk, Canopy Crawler, Daru Stinger, Embalmed Brawler, Feral Throwback, Ghastly Remains, Glowering Rogon, Kilnmouth Dragon, and Zombie Brute)

Converted Reveal to the DualListBox for "reveal any number of..." cards. I'm not sure how to convert the rest of getRevealedList though. Currently it cycles through one card at a time.

8-[ Anyway, time to stop hijacking this thread.

I wanted Inkfathom Infiltrator in addition to the 8 unblockable creatures (Tormented Soul and Invisible Stalker are clearly superior), but i find one is enough.
Here is the updated list (-2 Sakashima's Student, -1 Walker of Secret Ways, +1 Inkfathom Infiltrator, +1 Go for the Throat, +1 Okiba-Gang Shinobi).
| Open
4 Drowned Catacomb
1 Go for the Throat
3 Higure, the Still Wind
2 Ink-Eyes, Servant of Oni
1 Inkfathom Infiltrator
4 Invisible Stalker
9 Island
4 Mistblade Shinobi
4 Ninja of the Deep Hours
3 Okiba-Gang Shinobi
2 Silent-Blade Oni
6 Swamp
4 Throat Slitter
4 Tormented Soul
4 Underground Sea
1 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
4 Whispersilk Cloak

Can't think of one :P
Looks good. Even though Sakashima's Student could have been deadly if the enemy has a huge creature (e.g. attacking with an unblockable, ninjutsu, copyieng a 7/7 creature...) - then again this would only work given the AI knows how to use it.

Since you said, that my faerie deck could have been a rogue deck, I thought about creating one.
Here's my first try:
Code: Select all
2 Auntie's Snitch
4 Blighted Agent
4 Drowned Catacomb
4 Frogtosser Banneret
2 Harbor Bandit
4 Invisible Stalker
3 Island
3 Morsel Theft
1 Mox Jet
1 Mox Sapphire
4 Nightshade Stinger
3 Notorious Throng
4 Oona's Blackguard
2 Oona's Prowler
4 Polluted Delta
4 Stinkdrinker Bandit
6 Swamp
4 Underground Sea
1 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
the 2 Auntie's Snitch could be replaced, though. Either by Coat of Arms, Oona's Prowler, Morsel Theft, Notorious Throng or Harbor Bandit

I will name the opponent Master Splinter (the mentor of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles).

I've added the deck right away as Owlman 3 (with a little change to the lands). It works surprisingly good. Thanks a lot Nordos.

Alright I gave up on my Jokulhaups deck, since the AI was too aggressive with certain cards, and not aggressive enough with others. But once RtR comes out (and if I can figure out a way to script Helm of Obedience) I'm going to make a deck for the AI based around:

Rest in Peace
Energy Field
Helm of Obedience
Azor's Elocutors
