Thanks a lot Xitax. The number of our precons almost doubled!

Yes looks like fun. :D
I think Pestilence doesn't fit in here. The AI will wipe the board instead of letting the 1/1 creatures run into their doom. And Wound Reflection looks a lot like "win more" to me, i would prefer another combo piece for more consistency.

Nope. Keep 'em coming Nordos.

I included Pestilence for a very simple reason - if the player is too intelligent, to let his creatures live (e.g. having cards which let you sacrifice creatures), then you would need another card which finishes him.
Since the AI has most likely an Urza's Armor, he will recieve no damage at all and since all his lands should be able (as long as he cloned the right land with Veuva) to produce black mana, it should be able to deal 8 or more damage per turn.
I've included Wound Reflection for the same reason - in the case that the player is somehow able to control it's creatures.
Dunno what others card could be added, instead, actually. Maybe something like Hunted Troll? More Walls? IMO its fine as it is :D

Code: Select all
4 Bayou
2 Canker Abomination
4 Devoted Druid
4 Etched Monstrosity
4 Forest
4 Hex Parasite
2 Midnight Banshee
2 Noxious Hatchling
2 Phyrexian Hydra
4 Quillspike
2 Rendclaw Trow
4 Scarscale Ritual
5 Swamp
4 Tainted Wood
1 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
4 Verdant Catacombs
2 Witherscale Wurm
2 Woodfall Primus
4 Woodland Cemetery
I guess, the AI can't use the deck, but I attached it here anyway - maybe you guys can fix it ;)
As far as I can see, he doesn't really think about removing its -1/-1 counter, and he doesnt realize the combo Devoted Druid and Quillspike. (infinite loop of buffing the Quillspike)
I guess it's too hard to fix, though. Dunno, you amy take a look

Looks good :D Didn't know that these exist...
Here's a simple Morph deck, which should be easy.
Code: Select all
4 Aven Envoy
3 Brine Elemental
4 Dermoplasm
3 Echo Tracer
1 Fathom Seer
8 Forest
16 Island
4 Ixidron
4 Nantuko Vigilante
4 Primal Whisperer
3 Thelonite Hermit
4 Unblinking Bleb
2 Zephyr Sprite
The Ai doesn't play the cards very well, though

I was sure we had a morph deck and i finally found it:
Doc Holiday 1 | Open
Code: Select all
[duel]
[metadata]
Name=Doc Holiday 1
Title=Doc Holiday
Difficulty=easy
Description=WUG Morph deck
Icon=Doc Holiday.jpg
Deck Type=constructed
[main]
3 Aphetto Runecaster
3 Aven Farseer
1 Primal Whisperer
2 Reviving Dose
1 Guided Strike
4 Seaside Citadel
4 Plains|10E
4 Island|10E
4 Forest|10E
4 Coastal Tower
4 Elfhame Palace
2 Obelisk of Bant
4 Crystallization
1 Branchsnap Lorian
1 Hystrodon
1 Ascending Aven
4 Scornful Egotist
1 Defender of the Order
1 Echo Tracer
1 Liege of the Axe
1 Nantuko Vigilante
1 Wingbeat Warrior
1 Root Elemental
1 Crude Rampart
1 Daru Lancer
1 Daru Mender
1 Disruptive Pitmage
1 Fledgling Mawcor
1 Foothill Guide
1 Gravel Slinger
1 Riptide Biologist
1 Riptide Pilferer
1 Whip-Spine Drake
[sideboard]

I think two morph decks can co-exist:
One would focus on Ixidron and Primal Whisperer and have very expensive big morph creatures. The other would focus on Ixidron, Aphetto Runecaster and Aven Farseer and creatures with turn face up effects.

1 Necropolis Regent
1 Skullbriar, the Walking Grave
4 Slitherhead
1 Sluiceway Scorpion
3 Spiritmonger
8 Swamp
3 Vigor Mortis
2 Vulturous Zombie
A deck based upon +1/+1 counters in combination with scavenge and similar.
It is a very slow deck, yet it can be powerful. I guess its medium
Looks good. Will test tomorrow.

I think, that the Vigor Mortis and Death's Presence should be cut by one and either Vulturous Zombie (one of the very few flying creatures in this deck) or Spiritmonger or Dreg Mangler or Sluiceway Scorpion should be increased.
I've tested it, and it seems, that it just doesn't have enough creatures in the mid-game. Additional it is very hard for decks which are based uppon single creatures, because it has no possibility to destroy it. Then again, it is meant to be not that powerful^^

I usually run 40 in Quest, and once we start enforcing deck minimums, I'm going to set it at 40 for quest + limited. AI (generally) plays a 60 card deck.

I'm asking because I want to create a deck which is based uppon playing a lot of lands - 60 cards wouldn't be enough for my taste :D That's why I'm asking which sizes would be acceptable for the AI.

For AI decks the rule is simple: At least 60. We have a Battle of Wits opponent with 250+ cards.

Code: Select all
1 Avatar of Slaughter
1 Blazing Archon
2 Blightsteel Colossus
4 Buried Alive
4 Exhume
4 Gravestorm
4 It That Betrays
4 Leyline of the Void
4 Living Death
4 Nezumi Graverobber
2 Rag Dealer
1 Sheoldred, Whispering One
1 Spirit of the Night
24 Swamp
Feel free to add any synergies. I didn't came across any more, then again, I wasn't looking at all cards ;)
And if Cabal Coffers get fixed for the AI (activating as long as he has 3 or more swamps in play), it could be a good addition to various black decks - like this one (getting enough mana for It That Betrays and similar)

Would it perhaps be worth adding a Nirkana Revenant to help ramp mana for late game?

Hm, could be worth considering ^^

Code: Select all
4 Angelic Wall
4 Arid Mesa
4 Badlands
4 Bitterblossom
3 Forsaken Wastes
2 Greater Auramancy
2 Havoc Festival
3 Leyline of Punishment
4 Marsh Flats
1 Mox Jet
1 Mox Pearl
1 Mox Ruby
4 Phyrexian Arena
4 Plains
4 Plateau
4 Scrubland
4 Transcendence
1 Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth
2 Wall of Diffusion
2 Wall of Hope
2 Wall of Razors
Here's an experimental deck, which is based uppon Transcendence in combination with either Leyline of Punishment, Havoc Festival or Forsaken Wastes. If anyone finds any better synergies, let me know :P Mesa Enchantress is worth considering, too, since 37% of this deck are enchantments
