Re: Terrifying Presence

Postby stassy » 14 Nov 2012, 18:38

The issue is that I got an issue in a game that can't be anymore cleaner...

Image

- I have 20 life, at opponent turn AI attack with 2 Memnite
- I cast Terrifying Presence on one of them
- I am dealt 2 combat damages (life at 18 now), while I should only have 1 damage since all creature but target combat damage should be prevented

Image

There are no others cards than 10 Memnite, 10 Terrifying Presence and 20 forest...

Edit: Ok I just found out that all damage are prevented if you cast Terrifying Presence on one of you creatures.
However if you cast on a AI creature it will do nothing. It's still an issue if you don't have creature and you want to mitigate damage from AI attack phase.

The card has really strange behaviour and bugs.Stassy it doesn't prevent damage even if played on one of your creatures it certainly prevents damage dealt to the targeted creature,it even matters which attacker of yours you are going to target (1st,2,3....) = that's really interesting to investigate more.

Anyway it is easier to say how the card must work.It works like Fog with the exception that target creature deals damage normally unless it is not attacking or not blocking of course. And damage is prevented both to creatures and players.

[confirmed]Stuffy Doll

Postby Tyranix95 » 15 Nov 2012, 23:30

0. Head Note.

Card Combo: Stuffy Doll + Spirit Link ( or Lifelink) + Pestilence: Player does not gain life.

I. Describe the Bug:

Spirit Link (or Lifelink) does not give player life when Stuffy Doll is SL/Ll'd and SD damages opponent.

II. Which card behaved improperly?

Stuffy Doll.

III. Which update are you using: Date, name? And which game are you playing: Duel, Gauntlet, or Sealed Deck?

Manalink 3.0 : 09162012_m13_v3 : Duel.

IV. What exactly should be the correct behavior/interaction?

Card Combo: Stuffy Doll + Spirit Link ( or Lifelink) + Pestilence: Player gains life.

V. Are any other cards possibly affected by this bug?

I don't know. All three cards seem to work fine seperately--But not together.

VI. Save Game(s).

Re: [confirmed]Stuffy Doll

It has to be a Stuffy Doll bug since it doesn't gain life if it is equipped with Spirit Link and such when is dealt any damage and it's ability to redirect damage to player is applied, combat included.

Re: Woodfall Primus

Postby stassy » 18 Nov 2012, 06:17

It might be a workaround since you have to hit cancel for the original to be buried and that is left is Woodfall Primus with a -1/-1 counter, but still it's an issue.

Re: Chromatic Lantern

Postby stassy » 22 Nov 2012, 10:21

The bug is fixed as of ONRv2 patch, however there is a small issue : you can only trigger the effect when Chromatic Lantern is tapped (you need to click 1st on the tapped Chromatic Lantern then click on the untapped land), if it's untapped, the 1st ability will trigger without choice (and sometimes you would not want to tap Chromatic lantern but generate mana somewhere else :D )
